Michael Kyprianou

Born and raised in Larnaca, Cyprus. His keen interest in photography was apparent at an early age, when he won first prize for the European Council competition in Arts at the age of 16. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, earned at the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino, Italy and a Master’s Degree in the Theory and Practice in Contemporary Art at the University Complutense of Madrid, Spain. His exposure to different cultures, art themes and styles has inspired him to incorporate photography in his projects in a more artistic way.

Since returning to Cyprus, he has worked for 12 years as a photographer for the Dias Publishing Company until the end of 2017, for magazines such as Madame Figaro, Harper’s Bazar, Time Out, and OK. He has also worked on projects in various fields including:
Fashion Photography, Portrait Photography, Documentary Photography, Architectural Photography, Food Photography and Conceptual/Fine Art Photography.
Additionally, he has worked as a freelance photographer and co-operated with performing arts organisations, such as theatre companies and dance schools etc.
